This is a podcast for the kind of singing we make from the day we are born, but which rarely if ever gets recorded. If you'd like to join in, leave a comment.
This is the group podcast, the Podcast of Pointless Singing, original recordings of improvised and spontaneous vocal performances, made for no reason whatsoever.
What's the point? The point of course is that these random mumbles, murmurs, croaks and grunts are the root of all composition, as delivered by a million highly-trained professional sopranos, tenors, and baritones - and yet, where can you listen to this kind of ground-level, grassroots, intimate human material? Nowhere. They just don't get recorded, even though Pointless Singing is an important cultural activity and social freedom enjoyed by billions worldwide!
Yet we all make these vocals. Maybe you make them in your car, maybe in your kitchen, maybe in your bathroom, maybe when you just woke up, maybe in the time just before you went to sleep.
So, next time you find yourself warbling, make a quick recording of your random tune, and add it - for now there is somewhere for pointless singing to live and be famous - the Podcast of Pointless Singing.
